Mr. Diedericks, originally from Bloemfontein, graduated with a Baccalaureus Legum (LLB) degree from the University of the Free State.
During his time as a student he served as the Chairperson of the Legal Behemoth Moot Court Society and received various awards for academic excellence including, the LexisNexis Prize for Best Student in Criminal Procedure, the Hill, Mchardy and Herbst Bursary for general academic excellence and various nominations to the annual Dean’s List for the faculty of law.
After completion of his LLB degree, Mr. Diedericks pursued a Master’s Degree (LLM) in International Law at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg (Wits) under the guidance and tutelage of some of Africa’s best legal scholars, including the world renowned international legal scholar, Professor Ntombizozuko Dyani-Mhango. Mr. Diedericks received his LLM degree, with distinction (cum laude) with his research paper titled “Context as an element of crimes against humanity and genocide: rethinking the state policy requirement” being recommended for publication. Subsequently Mr. Diedericks served articles and worked at one of South Africa’s premier boutique law firms in Johannesburg and was admitted as an attorney in the High Court of the Republic of South Africa. During his time here, he assisted a variety of high profile clients and conducted matters before a multitude of judicial forums including the African Union Commission Disciplinary Board, the African Union Administrative Tribunal, The Gauteng Division of the High Court of the Republic of South Africa and various lower courts throughout South Africa.
Additionally, Mr. Diedericks assisted and continues to assist a variety of corporate clients from the mining, agricultural, outdoor media and medical sectors.
